Xi Virginis (? Vir ,? Virginis) is a solitary star in the constellation of the Virgo zodiac. Bright enough to be seen with the naked eye, it has a visual magnitude of 4.83. The distance to the star is about 122 light years, as determined from the parallax reading.
Xi Virginis is a sequential A-type star with the A4A star classification. It has an age of about 480 million years and is spinning rapidly with a projected rotation speed of 130 km/sec. It has about 150% of the radius of the Sun and shines with 12.6 times the luminosity of the Sun.
