"Addictive" is a song by R & amp; B singer Truth Hurts. It was the lead single from her debut album, Truthfully Speaking. One of several R & amp; B hit. "Addictive" featured a verse from Rakim, and was based on a sample of Hindi music, which eventually brought a $ 500 million demands against Aftermath. The song is the only one to chart on Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine, and selling over 600,000 copies in the US. It was also a top five hit in the UK, France and Switzerland, and went gold in some countries.

Steve "Static" Garrett wrote the song lyrics, and the tape was produced by DJ Quik. Quik took a sample of his instrumental song, a Hindi song he heard on television one morning. The sample turned out to be "Thoda Resham Lagta Hai", a 1981 song by Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar for the 1981 film Jyoti , which Aftermath neglected to remove his rights. Copyright holder Saregama India, Ltd. issued a stop-and-stop command, which was not noticed. On September 12, 2002, Saregama filed a $ 500 million lawsuit against Aftermath and parent company Universal Music Group, and filed an injunction to prevent further show or broadcast of the song "Addictive".
The song is still in repetitive rotation in many top-40, rhythmic, and urban stations. A remix has also been made, manufactured by Dr. Dre which displays an additional verse by Rakim.
