Plot
Two pairs of lovers play a comedy of errors, in which Maggie (Ryan) and Sam (Broderick), try some unethical and evil tricks to destroy the envious unity of each of their former partners, Anton (Karyo) and Linda (Preston) including theft identity, assault, and destroying Anton's restaurant.
Obsessive Sam astronomer was destroyed when the love of his life, Linda, deceived him and left him for a friendly Frenchman named Anton. So he went to New York to follow him and set up a house (and camera obscura) in the abandoned building opposite Linda, in order to win his back and wait until he decides to leave his current lover. What Sam does not take into account is joining a few weeks later by Maggie, a photographer and a motorcyclist, who is determined to take revenge on Anton, his former fiancé. Mutually hostile at first, they both end up joining in an attempt to separate the couple and destroy Anton's life. However, complications occur when Sam and Maggie start to fall into each other.

Critical review
The film received mixed reviews. Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert calls it as immature, unreasonable and imbecilic, but still gives him two stars out of a possible four.
He did not go as far as the Los Angeles Times 'Kevin Thomas, who called it creepy and said:
Addicted to Love currently holds a 57% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
